BAIC (Brierfield Action in the Community) was formed in 2002 by local residents to benefit those living within the area of Pendle, primarily within Brierfield. We have been operating in this capacity for thirteen years and have been responsible for the delivery of a number of successful projects in Brierfield that have improved the long-term quality of life for local residents.
We are an independent and community led organisation that is embedded in the local community with all Trustees and staff of the organisation coming from the local area.
We have delivered a wide range of activities including information technology support with training and employment support for local people.
Larger projects have helped other smaller projects come to fruition including youth activities, community safety, leadership skills, drugs awareness, targeted youth support, community cohesion and safer driving.
Some of our current projects which have ended now focused on building stronger communities by encouraging inclusion/integration.
We have a well-equipped centre, access to IT, photocopying, printing, free wi-fi, sign posting, you can book rooms for training etc…..
