Following our success in securing funds for a large three year project, Brierfield Action in the Community (BAIC) is starting a new phase of development and we are seeking new volunteer Board Members to help develop our forward plans. Whilst we are looking for skill areas in ,marketing and communication, finance and business planning, as important is attracting people who have a strong community focus and are willing to take up training for the role. BAIC is a community led charity that started in 2002. We have our own centre in Brierfield that now includes a community cafe as well as office and meeting room space.

Our focus is on:

1. Supporting young people aged between 6-19 years.
2. Supporting and helping older people with issues of social isolation
3. And work to improve a more cohesive community

Bob Allen Chair of Trustees says ”the new funding that we have attracted provides a real opportunity to grow the organisation and increase the support for our local communities.” If you want to help and gain new transferable skills email or give me a call on 07730 216 905
